Concierge App Using Augmented Reality
AR2Find has developed a mobile app that alters the way people connect with local businesses.
The app is called Traveul, and it uses Augmented Reality, or “AR” for short, to give users a visual experience when searching for shops, hotels, and restaurants.
According to Digi-Capital, a company that advises VR/AR businesses around the world, mobile AR is expected to drive the $108 billion VR/AR market by 2021.
AR2Find is targeting this expanding market with its mobile app that serves as a concierge for travelers.
For example, a user visiting a city can access Traveul’s “AR View” and simply hold up their cell phone at eye level. Then, they’ll immediately see all nearby shops and restaurants, as well as reviews and store hours.
Once they select an establishment, users can communicate directly with the business through the app. They can also view special discounts offered only to Traveul users.
Businesses, meanwhile, can use Traveul to create advertisements and social media campaigns in order to attract new customers. Companies pay a monthly subscription fee of $49.99 to be featured on the app.
Traveul’s mobile app launched in July 2017, and is available on Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store.
In the future, Traveul’s app will be compatible with Apple’s AR glasses, which are currently in development.
